Going on sabbatical

From May 1 to September 1, I will be on sabbatical. This is intended to be a time to rest, refresh and refocus.

YOU CAN SEE ALL MY SABBATICAL POSTS HERE

My hope is to provide updates on my blog so that you can see how we are using this time to renew our calling to serve the Lord.

Our plans are as follows:

  1. From May 10 to June 6 we will be hiking the Pieterpad in the Netherlands, a 500k pilgrimage from the very north of the Netherlands to the very south.
  2. From June 7 to June 29 we will be visiting spending time with Tom and Janelle at the YWAM Trentino base in Arco, Italy, as well as a few other stops along the way.
  3. From June 30 to July 30 I will be staying at l’Abri in Switzerland, a Christian retreat center for study, prayer and communal living and working.
  4. In August I will return home to both rest, to process what I have learned, and to refocus my call to ministry based on this time away.

I am so thankful for this opportunity, and understand that it is a great privilege and gift. We are thankful to Maranatha Church for their encouragement and support, and our prayer is that this will enable us to serve with them for years to come.

In His Hands, Norm
