PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Matthew 20:29-34
What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?
“What do you want me to do for you?” (Matthew 20:32)
If Jesus asked me this question, how would I answer?
Each day there might be more specific requests.
My current daily prayer is for meaningful employment.
It is not wrong to ask for personal things (our daily bread).
These blind men want to see, which is understandable.
But if I could only make one request, what would it be?
What would I prioritize, what ONE THING would I especially ask for?
David asks to live in God’s presence every day (Psalm 27:4)
Solomon asked for wisdom instead of riches and power (1 Kings 3:1-15).
Jesus says to seek first God’s kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
But He also has compassion on us and invites us to ask for daily bread.
The goal is to ask for specific things that relate to the ONE THING.
‘Help me to see’, ‘give me a job’, ‘provide money’ so that…
I may seek You, see You, know You, love You, serve You first!
Lord Jesus, I hear You asking me this question. Please give me a daily job SO THAT Your Name may be honoured, Your kingdom come, and Your will be done. This is what I want You to do for me!
