Free at last, free at last!

Posted on May 21, 2025May 21, 2025 by Norm

“Free at last, free at last!

Thank God almighty, I am free at last!”

Today is a day that I am feeling set free. For over 30 years I have been living under a heavy and burdensome yoke, but today I am set free. Free to surrender fully to Jesus, to be a Jesus follower and only be a Jesus follower. This may not make sense to some of you, but others of you may know what I mean.

It was October 28, 1993, when I first took on this yoke. But today that yoke was removed, and that burden was lifted.

think about it!

Nathaniel Hawthorne described happiness as a butterfly, which, when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you sit down quietly, may alight upon you. And it’s like that with the Spirit of God. He is not seized. He is received.
