A cause worth suffering for?

Posted on January 29, 2025January 29, 2025 by Norm

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Matthew 10

What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?

“So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:31)
If Jesus wants to enlist helpers, he needs to do a better job.
Betrayal, rebellion, hatred, persecution, flight, called the devil!?!?
And then the cherry on top, the fear of being killed.
Then he describes God as the one who can kill both body and soul.
So why would anyone sign up for this, it sounds like a war!
The only reason I can see is because the cause is worth it.
Jesus says we are worth it to God, cared for by God.
God sends Jesus into the war because the cause is worth it.
Will I stand up for goodness and love, even if it means suffering?
We celebrate those who have fought in the past for freedom.
If we were in that situation, would we step up to fight, even die?
We are in a warzone, satan (evil) is screwing up peoples lives everyday.
Will we sit on the sidelines protecting ourselves, not caring?
Or will be join Jesus in caring for those who are worth it to God?
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, help me not be a silent bystander to cruelty or injustice, but to join the fight for love and goodness. This is a worthy cause!

think about it!

I want you to be concerned about your next door neighbor. Do you know your next door neighbor?
