Let my people go!!!

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Exodus 9-10

What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?

“Let my people go…” (Exodus 9:1)
God loves all humans as MY PEOPLE, including the Egyptians and all others.
God chose Israel from all sinful humans as a way of rescuing all humans (Genesis 12:1-3).
God’s desire for all humanity is to rescue us from our bondage to Satan, sin and death.
God works through the misery and brokenness of this world to let all people know.
God says to the ‘pharoahs’ of this world again and again, “let my people go!”
Many victims in the world look to God for help, but those in power refuse to let go.
Jesus is anointed “to set the oppressed free” (Luke 4:18), to let God’s people go.
He takes on the ‘pharoahs’ that cruelly enslave humans, both religious and political.
Jesus challenges them all, not with force by with mercy, not with hate but with love.
They harden their hearts, refuse to listen and crush Jesus like everyone else.
“When I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people to myself.” (John 12:32)
God loves all people, and through Jesus declares, “let my people go!”
Stubborn human pride and power will be broken, God WILL set his family free!
Like Moses and Jesus, I want to stand against evil and declare, “let God’s people go!”
PRAYER
Lord, the power of evil holds humans in bondage and misery all over the world. But I see you, standing in the power of love before the Pharoahs of evil, declaring “let my people go!”

  1. “But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart and he would not listen” Pharaoh was not going to submit to God. Plague after plague, he relents a little, says okay and then goes back on his word. God is not only teaching Pharaoh and his officials but he is also making himself known to the people’s around – God’s sovereign power and authority is made known through this battle of wills and God is also preparing for future generations who even today will celebrate the exodus: “that you may tell your children and grandchildren how I dealt harshly with the Egyptians and how I performed my signs among them, and that you may know that I am the Lord.” The record in the scriptures is there and God is also evident today in the lives of His people – via the gift of the HS! through Jesus I am liberated from the power of evil – let its shadows not dominate me!
