1. Observations:
   You have not yet reached your resting place that the Lord your God is giving you shows that God is God and He is in charge. Rejoice before the Lord your God in everything you put your hand to. Once again the lord Lord reminded the people – Do this and live. Just do what is good and right in the eyes of the Lord.

   Do not be lead astray by your people but purge so that the peoples serve only the God of all gods. He will bless you because you do what is right and good in His eyes.

   We are His treasured possession. Live it. Special rules for God’s special people. ‘Kosher foods.’

   Give the first fruits to the Lord – tithing. All is His and remember that. The earth is the Lord’s and recognize that in your daily living.

   Not only the seventh day was a day of rest but also the 7th year – canceling debts. The Lord takes care of all. In this way the Lord takes care of those who are poor and needy. Once again God shows His faithfulness to His people. Open your eyes and see what the Lord God is doing among you.

   Follow justice and live. Worship god and God alone! Walk the Way and do not turn to the right or to the left but stay the course.

   As the king was to read the rules for kingship, so we too need to read the words of the law so that the law will be with us all the days of our lives.

   The land is the inheritance of the Land and so too today, all I have is also an inheritance of the Lord. Walk with the risen Saviour in obedience to Him this day and every day.

   Application:
   Rules for living. God always gives what the people needed. With the law of do this and live he also gave the specifics. Today is the same. Regulations for true living. The JOY principle – jesus first, Others second and Yourself last. We are His servants in this land He has made. We are not our own but brought/bought with a price. I need to live a life of gratitude in all I do. This is His world and all I have is His. use me Lord also as an instrument of Your peace.

   Prayer

   Help me this day to proclaim – Christ is Lord over all!

   Come, Thou almighty King,
   Help us Thy Name to sing, help us to praise!
   Father all glorious, over all victorious,
   Come and reign over us, Ancient of Days!

   Jesus, our Lord, arise,
   Scatter our enemies, and make them fall;
   Let Thine almighty aid our sure defense be made,
   Souls on Thee be stayed; Lord, hear our call.

   Come, Thou incarnate Word,
   Gird on Thy mighty sword, our prayer attend!
   Come, and Thy people bless, and give Thy Word success,
   Spirit of holiness, on us descend!

   Come, holy Comforter,
   Thy sacred witness bear in this glad hour.
   Thou Who almighty art, now rule in every heart,
   And ne’er from us depart, Spirit of power!

   To Thee, great One in Three,
   Eternal praises be, hence, evermore.
   Thy sovereign majesty may we in glory see,
   And to eternity love and adore!
