    Observations:
    Grumble bees are what the people were listening the majority report rather than the minority report. Once again the people relied upon their own strength rather than the power of their Lord God who had done mighty things for them. The Lord had promised the land but they did not take God at His word.

    Various laws were explained in detail but the tassels on their garments ‘hit’ me. The tassels were to remind the people of all the commands of God. To obey him. How often did the people grumble against the Lord?

    The first fruits unto the Lord – given to the Levites – as their share – for the Lord God is their share.

    Trust in the Lord always! even when depressed by the grumble bees.

    Applications:
    Listen and do. Listen to the Word of the Lord and do in order to have life and life abundantly.
    The tassels on the garments helped the people remember. How do I remember the Lord’s laws for my life. What aids do I have so that I too remember all what the Lord God has done for me and His commands? WWJD? A Necklace around my neck? An open Bible?
    Am I a grumble bee or am I ‘dobee’ living the Word each day so that others may see the fruit of the Spirit in me.

    The Lord God is also my share today – and not my ‘stuff.’ All is His and He in mine.

    Keep your eyes on Jesus at all times. Do not get discouraged by the happenings around you but go forward always in His power and Word to do His will.

    Prayer:
    Help me daily Lord to live Your Word. Make me a champion of Your peace. Wash me and make me whiter than snow so tat I too am clean through the blood of Christ. May I always drink from Your Word to guide me always.

    Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole;
    I want Thee forever to live in my soul.
    Break down every idol, cast out every foe;
    Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
    Refrain

    Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow.
    Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

    Lord Jesus, let nothing unholy remain,
    Apply Thine own blood and extract ev’ry stain;
    To get this blest cleansing, I all things forego—
    Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

    Refrain

    Lord Jesus, look down from Thy throne in the skies,
    And help me to make a complete sacrifice.
    I give up myself, and whatever I know,
    Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

    Refrain

    Lord Jesus, for this I most humbly entreat,
    I wait, blessèd Lord, at Thy crucified feet.
    By faith, for my cleansing, I see Thy blood flow,
    Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

think about it!

What does God ask of us? Not that we should be stronger than we are, but that we should confess our weakness and accept His strength.
