breath deep!

Posted on January 23, 2013April 1, 2017 by Norm
“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.”
(Anonymous)

Today, pay attention to the moments and experiences that “take your breath away”.
They do not need to be huge, they can be simple: a child’s laughter, the warm sun on your face on an otherwise cold day, a smile from a stranger on the train, someone holding the door for you, a thoughtful quote from a book, a photograph of another part of the world so unlike our own, a good news story in the newspaper, a new song that gets into your soul…
These are gifts, not generic or accidental, but personal and divine, God-moments that give life, that take your breath away in the best way possible.
Today, take a deep breath, and enjoy those God-given moments that “take your breath away”.

think about it!

The poet only asks to get his head into the heavens. It is the logician who seeks to get the heavens into his head. And it is his head that splits…
