PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Psalm 5
What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?
I mistakenly put the wrong date on this post, and it showed up on October 20 rather than October 30. A small mistake on my part, but God had something in mind with it. Read the comments below to see how God blesses and encourages us, even when we (I) make mistakes. Thank you Lord!
PRAYER
Hi Jill, thanks for posting. It is interesting how God works. This post showed up by mistake, it was supposed to show up on Sunday, October 30… but I must have mistyped October 20. Easy fix if no one had noticed, but now that you have commented, I will not correct it. Why? Because obviously God wanted this psalm to be posted today for you. God was affirming your heart! The Lord does cover you, he does/will and HAS defended you… even using my mistake to speak encouragement to you.
This blesses me, I am joyful in him because of this, he has and does bless me too… through this!
Praise him!!!!!!!!!
I have been struggling since hurricane Fiona blasted our province. It triggered old fears and trauma from childhood abuse. The stress emotions filled my body.
On Monday I began to realize that God was with me in this. I understood that these reactions were normal for me. It was okay to be shattered again. I would come through.
This morning I woke with hope again and praising God. Then I read Psalm 5 and truly connected with these words about looking to God. They affirmed me.
When I read the words about evil doers I thought God was saying; it is okay to want justice for what the abusers chose to do to me. It is okay to be angry about their sin. Even though I have forgiven them many times for many things, even though I have actually prayed for their salvation, It is okay to want them to be punished..
The Lord does cover me, He does/will defend me.
I am joyful in Him.
He has and does bless me.
Praise Him!
