SCRIPTURE: Acts 15:1-11
“Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.” (Acts 15:1)
Christians have been adding on to God’s grace for centuries.
Unless you belong to the true church, or unless you are baptized the proper way.
Unless you speak in tongues, or unless you tithe, or pray for the peace of Jerusalem, etc.
“No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.” (Acts 15:11)
Grace is not an object, it is God’s favorable, undeserved disposition towards us.
It is how He releases us from our guilt and sin BEFORE we respond to Him, because He loves us.
We just need to be open to receiving this grace, by simple faith, with no additional hoops.
All of us… ALL OF US… will have aspects of our lives still incomplete and incorrect to the end!
All of us will have unconfessed sins, because there will be things we didn’t know were sins.
God knows the heart, He knows whether we are sincere and open, even when we’re mistaken.
God’s grace is broader and richer than any of us realize or imagine – and that’s a good thing.
If it were not for God’s amazing grace, no one would be loved, forgiven, restored, saved!

PRAYER
Lord, Your love is amazing, undeserved. Only those who absolutely refuse to receive it to the very end will miss out on it. Forgive us for putting religious obstacles in front of You and Your amazing grace.
