SCRIPTURE: Psalm 86
“When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me.” (Psalm 86:7)
Although my struggles are different (and smaller) than David’s, I can relate.
Like David, I know God will answer me when I seek Him sincerely.
“You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.” (Psalm 86:15)
I can’t imagine what it would be like to not believe in God, stuck in a random, uncertain, unloving world.
My bottom line conviction is that there is a God, a forgiving, good and loving God behind everything.
I still have questions and struggles, and why God let’s things happen the way they do bothers me.
But in the end, I give God the benefit of the doubt, and I trust that somehow it all works out.
What are the alternatives – no God, no hope; bad God, no hope, good God, hope!
God may not answer me the way I want, or when I want, but He will answer me.
And one day it will all make sense, and I will see better how God worked out all things for good.
Until then, I call to God, for He will answer me!

PRAYER
God, without You, nothing makes sense, and everything is ultimately meaningless. With You, there is hope, and everything will ultimately work out for good. I call to You today, and await Your answer.
God is the Source for living. All too often I come when I am in need. I need to come to Him in the good times and the bad times. I need God to teach me daily to walk in His way – The Way. Open my eyes Lord that I can see Your mighty deeds each and every day!
I am reminded of God no destroying the people so that the faithless could also see the mighty acts of God. It is my prayer that God’s faithfulness and power and majesty may also be seen in my life to both believers and unbelievers alike. My God is alive. He is with me each day strengthening me along the Way so that I can meet the challenges of the day.
Thank You Lord that I can truly enjoy this day in joy for You are my joy.
