Reflecting on John 14:5-12
“Whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing.” (John 14:12)
Jesus came to bring humanity back into its loving relationship with God.
This is the ‘where’ that Jesus is going, and ‘where’ He is leading us.
God comes to us through Jesus, in order to bring us back to God.
When we see Jesus in action, we see the Father heart of God.
His actions showed this Father heart, in how loved and blessed people.
“This man welcomes sinners and eats with them. (Luke 15:2)
Since Jesus represents God… God welcomes sinners and eats with them.
Sinners are brought to the Father, and the Father welcomes and restores them.
This is what God did when He became human; this is what we should do too.
To follow Jesus and follow God, we need to welcome sinners and eat with them.
Jesus represents God’s true way of restoring people to life.
It is not just about believing in Jesus as the Way, it is actually following His Way.
If you want to experience life God’s way, then welcome sinners and eat with them.
“As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” (John 20:21)
Our mission is the same as Jesus’s; to be the way for others to find God!
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, I want to be an open door to others experiencing God's love. Help me not just to believe in You as the true way to life, help me to follow Your true way to live!

I need to be like Jesus, practicing the Way each day. Like the disciples I need to walk with my Lord each day in the Light of His Word for He is the Light and the Truth and the Way. I am His follower.
