Reflecting on John 6:25-51
“Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me.” (John 6:45)
The Father-heart of God is constantly calling out to us to come home.
This is true for everyone, whether they realize it or not.
Some people are desperate to find their way home, but they don’t know the way.
Some people, like the Jews, were given a special revelation of the Father.
They were drawn to the Father, and were meant to draw others as well.
When Jesus came, those who sensed the Father’s heart recognized Jesus as from God.
They saw the connection between YHWH God and this man named YeHushwa (YHWH saves).
They learned grace from the Father, and they experienced it in Jesus.
Yet not all knew the Father’s heart, including many religious people.
They had not heard or learned from the Father, and so Jesus was strange to them.
The Father-heart of God knows how to care for His hungry children (Matthew 7:9-12).
Jesus is the greatest proof of this, in how He cares for the deserpate and needy.
These are the ones that were drawn to Jesus, not the religious people.
Is it God’s love that draws you to Jesus, despite despite our unworthiness?
If you learn anything from these words, learn this: God loves you and wants you to come!
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, I learned more about religion than I did about God. But through that flawed religion, I sensed the Father's heart. This is what I long for and need, and this is what I sense in You. I am drawn to You, because in You I sense the Father's love.

I remember a children’smessage in church where the pastor asked the children questions about his children’s message. One child answered ith the same answer to all the questions. Jesus! The child was right. Jesus is our answer to be truly alive. His love spurs us on to be servants of our King showing His love to us that we can share that love with others. Thank You Lord for providing my ‘daily bread.’
