PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Matthew 13:31-58

What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?

“The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous.” (Matthew 13:49)
We are in the age of grace, when God invites people into gracious love.
To be righteous is to be gracious; to be wicked is to be ungracious.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” (Matthew 25:34-35)
These are gracious responses to those in need, just like Jesus did for us.
Those who know the wonder of being graced should want to share it with others.
We are saved by grace, but we are also saved for grace.
If we are not gracious and loving to others, we forfeit God’s grace.
God’s ‘very good’ kingdom cannot welcome the cruel, violent, abusive, unloving.
It is not fear of ‘hell’ but longing for love that should motivate us.
Jesus invites us to join him in sharing God’s grace with others.
Now is the age of grace, where we can choose what we do with God’s grace.
Will we follow the way of the wicked, or the way of the righteous?
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, I am saved by grace, for grace. Help me to be gracious to all the people around me so that they too can be graced, and be transformed by that grace!
