PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Matthew 2

What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?

“We saw his star and have come to worship him.” (Matthew 2:2)
I am curious how pagan astrology led these men to a Jewish messiah?
God uses another religion (Zoroastrianism) to draw people to Jesus?
This story is more about God seeking the Magi, not the other way around.
God’s grace goes way beyond our narrow boundaries and beliefs.
God draws Hindus, Jews, Muslims, atheists, and Christians to Jesus.
I am not saying every religion is right.
Not even Christianity is totally right – only Jesus is right!
But Jesus comes because God loves the world – all the people of the world.
God uses our experience in the world to help us seek Jesus (Acts 17:26-27).
If God works through other religions to draw people to Jesus, can we too?
When I let people share their faith, I look for connection points.
Look for a ‘star’ in their faith that can point them to Jesus.
Don’t turn it into a fight about whose religion is right.
See it as an opportunity to worship Jesus through the light of their ‘star’.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, help me to see others like you see them, and help me to reach them as God reaches them. Use me to be like a star, pointing them to Jesus.
