Observations/Application
The people set aside for service in the house of the Lord. They were to serve regularly but are were not all to do that – to serve the Lord our God in all that we say and do?
Serve Him, serve Him all you little children,
God is love, God is love!
All of God’s children are to serve Him – from the smallest to the greatest – just serve with the gifts received. Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might as serving the Lord – making music, writing, working in His creation. This is God’s world and I am a servant in His garden working His creation with the gifts received. All for Jesus. All are appointed for Kingdom service. All of God’s people are called to serve Him – that is our assignment – serve the King – wherever.
The people listened to their leader David as he described the plans for the temple. As the leader goes, so go the people. Be careful to follow all the rules of God so that you may posses the land. Wholehearted service to the King today and always. Whatever your hands find doing, do it with all your might as for serving the Lord. That is His way. He will bless the works of your hands if you but trust and obey. Be strong and courageous and do the work.
As David gave for the Lord’s temple so did the leaders of the families – willingly. How freely do we give to His service today? Our prayer needs to be like David’s prayer. Living thanks daily. ThanksLiving. All that I have is His.
Lord help me to keep Your commands. Each day is a sacrifice of praise recognizing His goodness once again.
Prayer
Each day anew, let me be an instrument of Your praise Lord. Help me to see Your presence everywhere.
We bring the sacrifice of praise
Unto the house of the Lord.
We bring the sacrifice of praise
Unto the house of the Lord.
And we offer up to You
The sacrifices of thanksgiving;
And we offer up to You
The sacrifices of joy.
