    Observations/Application
    Whom do I talk to for my help – for my daily living? God or man? In my daily walk I need to walk with God. I must commune daily with the Lord in all the happenings in my ice. I need to walk with my God.
    Elijah and Elisha show me that one can be the encourager of the other. Not only in terms of death but also in staying behind to do the work which needs to be done. The torch was passed fro one generation to the next. His word stays ad is empowered. How do I pass on that Story to the next generation? Lord make me faithful and a shining light – shining for Jesus.
    The source of strength of power and insight must be the Lord’s. Sacrificing sons to gods only kills the son. Listen to God’s voice and walk in His way – listening to His Word and doing good for the people of God and – God’s servants.
    God’s miracles through Elisha – the feeding of the 500 and food left over.
    God works through mysterious ways His wonders to perform. Can I see His hand in the simple things of life? Can I see His presence everyday in my daily living or do I also wait for great things to happen. He is everywhere but I need the eye to see and the ears to hear His voice.
    Each day I need to live according to His Word and not by my vision. The Lord needs to be my vision each day and not my sinful desires.

    Prayer
    Lord, be my vision each and every day.

    Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
    Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
    Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
    Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

    Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
    I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
    Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
    Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

    Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
    Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
    Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
    Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

    Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
    Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
    Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
    High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

    High King of Heaven, my victory won,
    May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
    Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
    Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

think about it!

Prayer is an upward leap of the heart, an untroubled glance toward heaven, a cry of gratitude and love which I utter from the depths of sorrow as well as from the heights of joy. It has a supernatural grandeur which expands the soul and unites it with God.
