Nov 8 — Acts 27:27-44

SCRIPTURE: Acts 27:27-44

OBSERVATION/APPLICATION:
Once again I am struck by how calm and confident Paul is. In the midst of the storm, Paul leads them in a communion like meal, showing the others the grace and strength of God in Him. Th others are encouraged, not just by Paul’s courage, but by the calming presence of the Holy Spirit in Paul. The favour of the Lord rests on Paul, and that has an affect on the others, also the centurion.

Do I sense the Lord’s presence and His favour with me, not because I am so great but because the Lord is so gracious. As I serve Him, He causes His influence to spread through me. Do I evidence confidence in the Lord, even in the storm? Am I the one quietly reminding people of the Lord’s presence when the others around me are panicking?

PRAYER:
Lord, may Your calming presence and power fill me and overflow through me, so that others experience You through me. Amen.
