Sep 3 — Daniel 6:1-16

Posted on September 2, 2007November 8, 2023 by Norm

SCRIPTURE: Daniel 6:1-16

OBSERVATION:
Daniel is a man of integrity who makes it big in Babylon, but it makes him enemies.
Daniel was diligent to keep himself God-focused by praying daily – with humility and gratitude to the God that had sent him into exile.
Daniel’s faith and integrity does not spare him from persecution and trouble.

APPLICATION:
Why does God allow “bad things” like this to happen, especially to someone like Daniel who is trying so hard to be good?
We prefer God to save us FROM trouble, not to save us THROUGH trouble.
How disciplined am I in remaining God-focused?
Do I pray to God before I am in trouble, or only when I am in trouble; and do I pray to God after it seems God has failed me?

PRAYER:
Lord, the little challenges I face each day are my own opportunities to show integrity, humility and gratitude. Forgive me for failing in these little tests. Amen.

I need to be a person of integrity, so that I may be blameless in my daily walk with God. TGIF = Today God Is First as He should be each abd every day. To do thirty days without the Lord , without talking to God can’t even enter my mind. It didn’t with Daniel. In my daily God given task of teaching, my daily practise must be talks with God. He must ‘colour’ all I do and say this day so that I am to be found in Him. Thank you Lord for this day to serve You. I commit all of this day into Your care for without You I am nothing. Bless the works of my hands for Your praise and glory.

    This is the day
    This is the day
    That the Lord has made
    That the Lord has made.
    We will rejoice
    We will rejoice
    And be glad in it
    And be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
    This is the day
    This is the day
    That the Lord has made.
