Sermon on Luke 9:10-17

Posted on May 3, 2007November 9, 2023 by Norm

thanksliving3.jpgThis Sunday (May 6, 2007) the GEMS want me to speak on the subject of thankfulness. I am looking at Luke 9:10-17. I am intrigued by Jesus “giving thanks” even though He didn’t have enough food for everyone. He was thankful because He trusted God, He knew God provided just enough to accomplish His purpose, to bring Himself glory! Does this suggest that we should always thank God, no matter what He provides in answer to our need, trusting that His answer is just enough to accomplish His purpose, to bring Himself glory? What about giving thanks in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18)?

Do you have any thoughts on the subject of gratitude? I’d be grateful to you!
