Oct 28 — Acts 21:37-22:21

Welcome to Jill Hamming, a friend of mine from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and a regular participant on this web page. She will share her reflections on the readings from Acts 20-23.

SCRIPTURE: Acts 21:37-22:21

Paul’s life is like the wildest adventure story. It would make great reality T.V. The man who is on a mission for God and carries it out no matter what! What will happen next? Today he gets the opportunity to speak.

The Holy Spirit gives Paul the right words to show the people that he understands them. He used to be just like them. Ananias told Paul that God chose him to see and hear Jesus and to witness to all men. This is what Paul has done for many years.

Will the crowd listen and believe? Paul doesn’t know -He is just being obedient. Obedient even though moments before he almost got beaten to death for the very things he is talking about.

Paul so wants the Jews to get the Message.

How determined am I to get the Message out? How much do I care about the thousands of unsaved people in my neighborhood?

Oh Lord, I am sorry for not trying very hard to tell people about You. Please forgive me. Thank-you. Please change my heart. Let me see the lost with Your eyes. I do want to tell people about You. Amen.
