SCRIPTURE: Psalm 124
OBSERVATION:
This psalm urges people (twice) to publicly declare how much God has helped them, what they were up against (flood, raging waters, torrent) and what would have happened if God didn’t intervene. Say it out loud, let everyone hear about it: Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. (v.8)
APPLICATION:
How aware am I of what God has done for me, how grateful am I? How much do I appreciate His daily compassion (Lamentations 3:22-23), and can others tell how grateful I am? Only if I am grateful should I speak about it, but if I am grateful, then let the whole world know!
PRAYER:
Lord, help me to become aware of Your amazing grace, help me to be truly grateful, and help me to let everyone know that my help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. Amen.
Yesterday we were at a Worship evening with Robin Mark.
I left amazed and grateful for what God has done for me…. sometimes in the struggle I lose sight of the big picture.
I am thankful for being able to know God, I am thankful that He directs my path and is with me in it. I am thankful that He sent help this week when we needed it. I am grateful that He loves us whether we are turned to Him or not.
God, please, keep me looking to You…always…..
