SCRIPTURE: Zechariah 1-6
“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit.” (Zechariah 4:6)
God still has plans for His unholy, unfaithful people.
Those whom Satan accuses, God forgives and restores.
But it is not because we are so strong or wise or good.
God is in the business of helping the lowly, those who do not measure up.
God sees you and me, despite all our flaws, as the apple of His eye.
When we admit our guilt and desperation, God steps in.
By His Spirit He changes us from the inside out.
It is not our strong armies, or our dynamic charisma.
It is not our huge bank accounts, or our academic degrees.
Success comes to those who humbly admit that they are nothing without God.
I need God’s Spirit in me, with me… so do you.
God wants to do great things in you, and through you.
But we must surrender to His Spirit to experience those great things.
“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25)=
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, apart from Your Spirit in me, working through me, I am nothing. Breathe Your breath of life into me again, that I may become all that You made me to be!
Observation/Application
God speaks to His people through His prophets. If they have ears to hear, they will do and return to serving the Lord God. The Lord is our protecting hedge. He lives among us. Open my eyes Lord so that I may see You always.
In Christ alone I have new Life for He is the Way if I but walk in His Way. Listen to His Voice saying – This is the Way. Walk in it. I need to be in His service.
I remember the words of Joshua – As for me and my house, we will serve the living God. In His SonShine I am able to be a living witness in His service.
Today God Is First. PTL!
