SCRIPTURE: Psalm 121
“He will not let your foot slip…” (Psalm 121:3)
A song for the pilgrims working up the slopes to Jerusalem.
An encouragement for those seeking God, desiring to know and serve Him.
Keep your eyes forward, or ‘keep looking up!’
Don’t let distractions or disturbances along the way sidetrack you.
Not slipping doesn’t mean never losing our footing.
It doesn’t mean that bad things won’t come against us.
But they will not be able to remove us from our God path.
God will protect us from falling away, when we seek Him first.
A God-focused heart will reach it’s destination.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
“The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” (Psalm 121:8)
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, it is good to know I do not go through life alone. Surrounded, guided, protected by Your love. Thank You for the reminder to ‘keep looking up!’
Observation/Application
My safety.
On whom do I rely? Men? Kings? Hills?
I must look up above the hills to God and seek Him to be my Help in all things in His time and in His way.
My Comfort is God.
My Protector is God.
My Keeper is God.
Mt Assurance is God.
He is always with me
and I
need Him in my work and play
always.
Always I am in His presence.
He is my Shepherd, Guardian and Guide
and
He will keep me in the palm of His Hand.
Help me Lord to walk in Your SonShine always.
My Savior loves
My Savior lives
My Savior’s always there for me
My God he was
My God he is
My God he’s always gonna be.
