    Observations/Application
The king did evil in the sight of the Lord reminded me of the time of the Judges when all did what was right in their own eyes. As the king goes – so go the people. However, God’s promise for His Light, would never fail. He keeps His promises/Word. It will surely come to pass.
God raises His champions His wonders/Word to perform so that the Light would not be extinguished. The time of Jehu reminded me of the ban in Judges – so that the land could be purified. People insisted upon their own way will also meet their death ‘today.’ Those without the Lord are dead already. We are only alive in Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Even when a righteous king reigned, the high places were not removed. The tares among the wheat? I need to be true and be fruit bearing in a time like this – doing as my Master has taught me. God’s work will be done also during these turbulent times. His house will be built if I/we stay true to His ‘orders.’
How is God speaking to me during these ‘dark’ days – people destroying people? Where is God’s hand in all of this? I need to see the Lord in all of my activities from day to day and answer the question – Where did I see God today? I need to live for Jesus each day during times like these and never loose sight of the destination of the journey. That empower. It is His Kingdom and He continues to give His people Light and Strength and daily Bread if we but trust and obey.

    Prayer
Be Thou my King forever and ever Lord.

    Alive alive alive forevermore

    My Jesus is alive

    Alive forevermore

    Alive alive alive forevermore

    My Jesus is alive

    Sing hallelujah, sing hallelujah

    My Jesus is alive forevermore

    Sing hallelujah, sing hallelujah

    My Jesus is alive
