SCRIPTURE: Galatians 5-6
“Do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another in love.” (Galatians 5:13)
As a Jesus follower, Jesus is my model, my mentor, my teacher, my Saviour, my Lord.
I want the life He lived, a life free from bondage, a life free for love, compassion, generosity.
A life devoted to the things that matter, a life in close fellowship with God.
Jesus has set us free from the burden of having to perform or prove ourselves – to God or others.
Jesus has set us free from the weight of shame and guilt, and from the inability to change.
Jesus has set us free from the fear or failure and the fear of death – and many other fears.
‘With great power comes great responsibility’… this is true for great freedom too.
We are not free to do whatever we want, however we want, without regard for God or others.
God has set us free to life of the Spirit, of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, etc.
This is what we were made for, this is what we were saved for!
If I’m genuinely devoted to Jesus as my Saviour and Lord, this is the life I will want!

PRAYER
Lord, You have set me free, free to be all that You made me to be. Unleash the power of Your Spirit and love in me, that I may overflow for You.
