SCRIPTURE: Psalm 124
“Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psalm 124:8)
As a God-seeker I am always looking for ways that God is at work in my life.
The fingerprints of God, signs that God has been nearby.
The psalmist thinks about all the times he was almost defeated, or ruined.
He realizes that his ongoing survival and success are due to God.
We do not make it through life without God’s help.
This is true for everyone, believers and unbelievers.
One day we will realize all the ways God was involved, how He made a difference.
For me, God has provided guidance, warning, strength, support, patience, vision, hope.
And probably protection too, though I am not aware of specific times.
Where would my life be right now if God had not been involved?
“Praise be to the Lord, who has not let us be torn by their teeth.” (Psalm 124:6)
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, we see what we see (or think what we see), but how much we don’t see. If it wasn’t for You, we would be in a bad way, I’m sure of it. Thank You, thank You, thank You for Your fingerprints.
