Oh happy day!

Posted on June 4, 2014June 4, 2014 by Norm

The day of my birth reminds me that I am God’s much loved child.
And the day of my rebirth is when God reminds me that I have significance and purpose.
I am not here for myself, but for God and others.
As long as we remain slaves to self-absorbed living, we remain dead.
But when we are set free by God to live for and love others, we are really alive!
Who I am, how I am shaped, my passion and personality, my gifts and resources – all that I am and all that I have – is bound up in these two great facts – WHO I am and WHY I am here.
Do you know WHO you are?
Do you know WHY you are here?
Let God remind you, let Jesus rescue you, let the Spirit revive you!
And when you celebrate this happy day, sing it like you mean it!

think about it!

There are those who seek knowledge for the sake of knowledge; That is curiosity. There are those who seek knowledge to be known by others; That is vanity. There are those who seek knowledge in order to serve; That is love.

— Bernard of Clairvaux
