Have seen, and will see!

Posted on September 12, 2022August 15, 2022 by Norm

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Acts 26:16-23

What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?

“As a witness of what you have seen and will see of me.” (Acts 26:16)
Jesus commissioned all of his disciples to be his witnesses (Acts 1:8).
A witness is someone who describes to other what they have experienced.
You cannot witness to what you have not seen or experienced.
We can only share what we have seen or experienced.
This may seem like stating the obvious, and yet do we remember this?
When others ask us about our faith in Jesus, do we share our experiences?
Do we describe how the Lord has worked in or around us?
Or are we explaining the bible, or teaching doctrines we’ve been taught?
I cannot prove any of these, but I can witness confidently to what I’ve seen.
If you have not seen or experienced much, don’t worry.
Jesus is sending us, like Paul and the others, he will speak through us.
His Spirit was given for this purpose, to use our witness, weak as it may be.
Earnestly seek to see and experience more of Jesus in your life.
Sincerely share what you have seen and experienced, and trust his Spirit to work!
PRAYER
Lord, I have seen some of you at work, but I want to see more. May I see you today, and may I find the opportunity to share this with others!

Being Faithful! Paul was faithful to his calling: “I was not disobedient to the vision” – as He was challenged by Jesus himself. I too need to remain faithful – especially in the face of challenge. Paul is a witness – a powerful example to me. Lord help me to be like Paul – willing to stand up and testify – to share what you have done for me and are doing in me! Make me a ‘grace’ channel that blesses others by what I say and do!

Paul was sent to be a witness to proclaim the good news.
By the great commission, we are all witnesses to tell the story, messengers of the living God.
By my words and deeds others will show whose I am. Paul was seized because of his deeds. Actions at times speak louder than words. Actions show what the words mean. May my words and deeds show that I am His and He in mine.

    love to tell the story;
For those who know it best
    Seem hungering and thirsting
To hear it like the rest.
And when, in scenes of glory,
I sing the new, new song,
’Twill be the old, old story,
That I have loved so long.

think about it!

The poet only asks to get his head into the heavens. It is the logician who seeks to get the heavens into his head. And it is his head that splits…
