Good Spirit lead me!

Posted on August 7, 2022August 6, 2022 by Norm

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Psalm 143

What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?

“So my spirit grows faint within me.” (Psalm 143:4)
With all that is going on in David’s life, his inner spirit is failing.
He is desperate, weak, overwhelmed, dismayed… yet not defeated!
He still knows where to find the strength, wisdom and direction he needs.
“May your good Spirit lead me on level ground.” (Psalm 143:10)
Since we were created, we’ve depended on the Spirit of God (Genesis 2:7).
Sin separates us from God’s Spirit, and our own spirits are dying, desperate.
This world crushes the human spirit little by little, until we gasp our last breath.
But God’s desire is to renew both Spirit and life into us.
When we are deflated, we can look to the Spirit to strengthen us from within.
More than that, the Spirit will lead and guide us – the perfect Helper.
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever — the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. (John 14:16-17)
In your struggle pause, breathe deep and allow the good Spirit to lead you.
PRAYER
Lord, to often when I am deflated I try to find my own ways to inflate my spirit. Thank you for reminding me that only you can give me the strength and guidance to make it through this spirit-crushing world.

    “Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” I’ve tried to lead my own way and found that it gets me into meaningless living. Sure I can have success, but it does not satisfy. Rather, following the spirit’s leading – gives my life purpose and challenge – and yes contentment as well – even though I’m never fully content because I see that there is so much sin and injustice in this world. Yet, Jesus is my living hope – thank you for the opportunities you challenge me with Lord – and thank you for your love and care – and the presence of your HS to guide me!!

    Each morning I greet the Lord for the new day. This new day He has created and I need to serve Him in all I do and say. I need Him every hour to lead me and guide me in the Way. Without His Spirit to lead, guide, empower I am lost. Help me to do Your will also on this day You have made to do Your will.

    1 I am weak, and I need Thy strength and power
    To help me over my weakest hour;
    Let me through the darkness Thy face to see,
    Lead me, O Lord, lead me.

    Refrain:
    Lead me, guide me along the way;
    For if You lead me, I cannot stray;
    Lord, let me walk each day with Thee.
    Lead me, O Lord, lead me.

think about it!

Snowflakes are one of nature’s most fragile things, but just look at what they can do when they stick together.
