Living with his blessing

Posted on September 30, 2021September 30, 2021 by Norm

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Luke 24:50-53

What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?

“While he was blessing them, he left them.” (Luke 24:51)
Jesus leaves them, but he leaves them with his blessing.
Imprinted on their hearts and minds is this picture of Jesus.
Hands raised in blessing, smiling and strengthening them.
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24?-?26)

This blessing would never leave them.
And even though he leaves them, he promises to be with them.
“I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)
Do you sense the risen, reigning Lord with you right now?
Do you see in your mind his smiling face, his hands lifted in blessing?
Living each day WITH Jesus is the heart of living in Christ.
The Spirit of Jesus is real, and is really in us, connecting us to Jesus.
That Spirit will give us love, joy, peace , etc. as well… are you feeling it?
PRAYER
Lord, I cannot live this life without you. Though I wish I could see you, thank you for those moments when I feel you with me. May the blessing of those moments linger long after they leave.

We are a blessed people! Jesus blesses his followers as he leaves them: “While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.” Living for Jesus – to be blest by Him. Help me to follow and be a blessing to others – for that is what we are called to be. Lord help me to be a blessing!

Happiness is . . . being in His presence.
Jesus encourage His followers by walking with them before His ascension. And He promised them His Spirit upon His ascension. Emmanuel- God with us – always. What a gift! What a joy to always have Jesus with us. For me, no greater joy is there that my children walk in the Lord’s way and that is also true for all of God’s children. And so today once again I can go forward in His power doing my service with joy in my heart for the joy of the Lord God is my strength.

The joy of the LORD is my strength
The joy of the LORD is my strength
The joy of the LORD is my strength
Oh, the joy of the LORD is my strength.

He gives me living water and I thrist no more
He gives me living water and I thrist no more
He gives me living water and I thrist no more
For the joy of the LORD is my strength

If you want joy you must sing for it
If you want joy you must sing for it
If you want joy you must sing for it
For the joy of the LORD is my strength

If you want joy you must shout …jump for it..
If you want joy you must shout …jump for it..
If you want joy you must shout …jump for it..
For the joy of the LORD is my strength

think about it!

There is a desire within each of us, in the deep center of ourselves that we call our heart. We were born with it, it is never completely satisfied, and it never dies. We are often unaware of it, but it is always awake…. Our true identity, our reason for being, is to be found in this desire.
