One day I will see clearly!

Posted on September 23, 2020September 22, 2020 by Norm

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Mark 8:22-26

What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?

“Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes.” (Mark 8:25)
I am not sure why this healing was a two stage process.
But we do see the same thing happening today.
Some people are healed immediately, some receive healing over time.
God’s work of salvation in Jesus is accomplished, but it is not complete.
God works out this salvation in time, some right away and some not yet.
There are also times when, for a purpose, God will wait, or even say no.
“Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take my thorn away. He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, my power is made perfect in weakness.’” (2 Corinthians 12:8-9)
It was not a failure on God’s part that the man was not healed completely right away.
It was for a purpose, perhaps to teach him or the disciples a lesson.
I believe the same for my own process of salvation and healing.
We do not see things clearly or have full healing yet… but He’s not done!
“For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” (1 Corinthians 13:12)
PRAYER
Lord, there are still things that are fuzzy to me. Your healing miracle in me is not complete. But what I see now is enough to make me eager to see the rest.

Jesus can heal simply by touch or by word from his mouth. He doesn’t need the mud – but He doesn’t want to be treated like a magician either. Jesus wants me to have faith – with faith I will be able to see clearly. My faith needs work – it may need dirt rubbed on it to refine me – to humble me and make me better. Holy Spirit continue your work in me to grow my faith and draw me closer to Jesus!

    Blindness.
    Having to be lead.
Being brought to Jesus, the great Physician.
Not only was he healed physically but spiritually. Totally healed.
And Jesus warned Him to stay away from those who live in spiritual darkness.
Open my eyes Lord that I walk daily in Your SonShine and that others may see Christ Jesus living in me. Jesus is the answer for He gives the Light so I can truly see.

When we walk with the Lord in the light of his Word
What a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will, he abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
