Let God diagnose your heart!

Posted on March 31, 2019March 30, 2019 by Norm

THE STORY OF JESUS: Psalm 139
“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.” (Psalm 139:1)
How does this make you feel?
He knows EVERYTHING about me, totally, completely, everywhere, always.
This kind of exposure can be frightening… talk about a breach of privacy!
We may try to hide, to cover up our badness with goodness, but God isn’t fooled.
We can point the finger at others, how they are worse (vv.19-22), but that won’t work.
If God were a monster, this privacy breach would be awful; but God is good, loving.
Why hide from the God Who only wants the best for us, Who wants to improve life for us.
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24)
Hiding from God is like avoiding a cancer specialist who wants to do a thorough check up.
Be honest with God, He already knows the real you anyway.
Let Him reveal things to you about you that you don’t know, not to shame you but to help you.
Let Him show you the reason for your anxious thoughts, fears, doubts and struggles.
It’s better to know there is a cancer within, than letting it silently kill us.
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, I know there are things in me that are not right or good. And I know its worse than I imagine. Help me to trust Your diagnosis, and Your cure.

There is no escape from God.
We may try to hide things from our friends
but like Adam and Eve, we can’t hide from God.
I need to walk with Him always by my side
to lead and guide and protect me on my journey.
I need to walk daily in His SonShine.
I need Him to lead and guide me always.

Lead me oh Lord, won’t you lead me
I am tired and I need Thy strength and power
To guide me over my darkest hour
For just open my eyes that I may see
Lead me oh Lord, won’t you lead me

Lead me, guide me along the way
For if you lead me I cannot stray
Or just open my eyes that I may see
Lead me oh Lord, won’t you lead me
I am lost if you take your hand from me
I am blind without try light to see

think about it!

Worship is pure or base as the worshipper entertains high or low thoughts of God. We tend by a secret law of the soul to move toward our mental image of God.
