Now THAT’S a miracle!

Posted on January 9, 2019January 9, 2019 by Norm

THE STORY OF JESUS: Acts 4:32-37
“No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own,
but they shared everything they had.” (Acts 4:32)

This is one of the greatest miracles of Jesus.
Healing the blind or raising the dead is child’s play compared to this.
People giving up their possessions to share with others?
Making or raising a body is nothing to God, He made the whole Universe.
But how do you change the heart of free will yet sinful human beings?
It is this character transformation that convinces me of Jesus.
The resurrected Jesus changing hearts and lives through the Spirit.
Prompting and helping us to think about giving, not getting.
Has knowing Jesus produced this miracle of selflessness in me?
Am I less and less possessed by greed or possessiveness?
Am I more and more becoming a humble, loving, generous person?
This is the miracle I want to see in me.
This is the miracle God wants to see in the church.
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, Your Spirit can change us like this, but we need to open our hearts and minds to be one in heart and mind. Help me to be receptive this this kind of miracle!

    God’s family.
I am not my own but belong to Him.
All for Jesus – heart and mind and all what I own.
    Serving Him with everything.
    God in all.
All what I have is His and for serving Him.
Help me Lord this day to live for You.

    Jesus, all for Jesus
All I am and have and ever hope to be
    Jesus, all for Jesus
All I am and have and ever hope to be
All of my ambitions, hopes and plans
I surrender these into your hands
All of my ambitions, hopes and plans
I surrender these into your hands
For it’s only in your will that I am free
For it’s only in your will that I am free
    Jesus, all for Jesus
All I am and have and ever hope to be
    Jesus, all for Jesus
All I am and have and ever hope to be
    Jesus, all for Jesus
All I am and have and ever hope to be

think about it!

The most pathetic person in the world is someone who has sight, but no vision.
