THE STORY OF JESUS: Romans 12-13
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world…” (Romans 12:2)
Thanks to Jesus, evil is defeated, God’s kingdom is coming!
How then shall we live? … NOT like the world!
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)
Having received the Spirit of life, we can live like God again.
The Spirit is producing God’s fruit in our hearts and minds.
Patient, forgiving, respecting authority, overcoming evil with good.
We reverse the curse by being a blessing, even to our enemies.
We strive to improve the well-being of God’s world.
In short, we live just like Adam was made to, and like Jesus did.
Unless we give in to the pattern of this world again.
This is a very real danger for Jesus-followers, and why Paul urges:
“Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.” (Romans 13:14)
Am I accepting the Jesus Way of life, am I devoted to living it?

PRAYER
Lord, I cannot live with, like and for You, unless You help me. You have given Yourself fully to me, help me to give myself fully to You!
18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
This is one of my favourite texts. And it is only a real possibility to live this way if I dress myself each day with the armour of God so that I live the fruit of the Spirit. That can happen if I love God and love my fellowman. This is God’s command to us all – love. Love makes it all happen – it really makes the world go around. My words and deeds need to show my love. It needs to be my daily living for Jesus. Each and every day I must put Jesus first – TGIF – Today God Is First.

Jesus Christ,
You are our redeemer,
You redeemed man in love,
We adore you.
Holy Spirit,
You are our comforter,
You fill our hearts and minds,
We need you.
