May Jesus become greater!

THE STORY OF JESUS: John 3:22-36
“The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.” (John 3:35)
The good news is that Jesus has reclaimed creation for God and us!
God raised up Adam and Eve and placed everything in their hands (Genesis 1:26-28).
God loved them, and their were His much-loved children.
Adam and Eve were God’s first son and daughter of God (Luke 3:38).
But sadly they turned from God and submitted to the dark side.
Humanity, which still rules the world, now rules it in darkness.
God’s kingdom of light became the dominion of darkness (Colossians 1:13).
God finally raises up a new Son, and reassigns all authority to Him.
Like Adam and Eve, Jesus is tempted, but unlike them He does not fail.
Not even suffering and death can beat Jesus; Jesus is exalted over all.
We cannot beat Satan, but if we join Jesus (baptism), we stand with Him.
“He must become greater; I must become less.” (John 3:30)
Less of us and our weakness; more of Jesus and His strength.
The Father loves the Son, and so do I… may He become greater still!
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, You have restored me to my identity and purpose as a son of Adam, son of God! May You become greater in my life, so that I may be more and more like You!
Lord,

  1. Spirit fed.
God gives His people strength by giving His Spirit.
The Spirit reveals God’s truth to us. He enables us and leads and guides us so that we live in the truth. That’s a choice we have to make – to walk with Him or not.
    Life or death.
I choose life and follow His will and not my way.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still.
Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Search me and try me, Master, today!
Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now,
As in Thy presence humbly I bow.
Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Wounded and weary, help me, I pray!
Power, all power, surely is Thine!
Touch me and heal me, Savior divine.
Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Hold o’er my being absolute sway!
Fill with Thy Spirit till all shall see
Christ only, always, living in me.
