Always time to praise the Lord!

THE STORY OF JESUS: Psalm 92
“It is good to praise the Lord…” (Psalm 92:12)
This psalm says it is good for us to us to praise the Lord.
Why would it be healthy, and helpful, to praise the Lord.
If we dwell on what is good, hopeful, positive, inspiring, we will benefit.
But negative, discouraging, dark thinking will drag our down.
It is good to recall the good that God is doing all around us.
We take for granted so many everyday blessings and miracles.
Worse, we tend to focus on the bad things, what we lack, what is wrong.
I have seen God’s greatness and goodness so many times, I can’t deny it.
But do I express it, do I tell people about it, do I focus on it?
It would be good for me to say it more, it would bless me and others!
“Proclaiming your love in the morning, your faithfulness at night.”(Psalm 92:2)
Not just in church on Sundays, but every day, morning and evening.
Take some time right now to offer some simple statements of praise.
Praise Him for (_______________), it will be good for you!
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, You are constantly showing me how You love and support and help me. Help me to become more expressive of my appreciation!

  1. The opening of this Psalm reminds me of the following song
    1
    Praise Him, praise Him, all ye little children,
    God is love, God is love;
    Praise Him, praise Him, all ye little children,
    God is love, God is love.
    2
    Love Him, love Him, all ye little children,
    God is love, God is love;
    Love Him, love Him, all ye little children,
    God is love, God is love.
    3
    Thank Him, thank Him, all ye little children,
    God is love, God is love;
    Thank Him, thank Him, all ye little children,
    God is love, God is love.

    This child’s song expresses what all of God’s children should do and I am a child of the King. Praise Him in the morning and praise Him in the evening and with open eyes see His presence, His faithfulness in between. As I live for Jesus, He is the wind beneath my wings and my Protector, my Rock, my Security.

    1. Jesus, Jesus,
    Jesus in the morning, Jesus in the noontime;
    Jesus, Jesus,
    Jesus when the sun goes down!

    2. Love him, love him,
    Love him in the morning, love him in the noontime;
    Love him, love him,
    Love him when the sun goes down!

    3. Serve him, serve him,
    Serve him in the morning, serve him in the noontime;
    Serve him, serve him,
    Serve him when the sun goes down!

    4. Thank him, thank him,
    Thank him in the morning, thank him in the noontime;
    Thank him, thank him,
    Thank him when the sun goes down!
