Just in case you missed it!

THE STORY OF JESUS: Mark 8:1-10
Is this just another version of a single feeding miracle that Mark repeats?
Or did Jesus feed large groups on several occasions.
If it was more than once, why didn’t the disciples get it the second time?
If they saw Him do it once, why would they be surprised the second time?
Good question… though we should never underestimate our inability to get things.
The bible has many stories of people who doubt after seeing multiple miracles.
We’ve become so accustomed to God’s daily care, we don’t even see it anymore.
And if something dramatic or different happens, we find ways to explain it away.
To some extent the skeptics mind is alive and well in all of us.
The Lord is always repeating Himself throughout our lives, yet we still often forget.
How often has the Lord stepped in to help me, to provide for me, to teach me?
As Jesus followers we want to live with our eyes open, to see His hand in our life.
With our eyes open, we start to see patterns, we see Him repeating Himself.
Eventually we begin to see that He is with us, working in us and through us.
Pay attention to what happens today – you may see the Lord reminding you again!
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, so much of what You do for me I take for granted. The food I eat, the resources and opportunities I have, the house I live in, the people in my life. You have multiplied blessings for me… but do I see it?

Just imagine, three days following Jesus, listening to His every Word and not having food to eat. Hungering to hear every word He speaks.
Feed me Lord with Your Word and I will be satisfied.
And He also does feed them physically with the miracle of the loaves of bread and the fish.
Remember the manna and the birds in the desert? The Lord fed His people there too. That too was a miracle. We are dependent on Him for Life and Life everlasting. But all too often we take His gifts, His blessings for granted. Our attitude for gratitude i absent. We no longer see what the Lord is doing in our lives.
Open my eyes Lord that I may see Your glory each day anew.
Open my eyes Lord that I may see Your presence.
Open my eyes Lord that I may see Your blessings each day.
Open my eyes Lord and let me see that I hang upon Your every Word for You are the Bread of Life.

God forgave my sin in Jesus’ name.
I’ve been born again in Jesus’ name
And in Jesus’ name I come to you
To share his love as he told me to.

He said ‘Freely, freely you have received;, freely, freely give.
Go in my name, and because you believe others will know that I live.

All pow’r is giv’n in Jesus’ name
in earth and heav’n in jesus name
And in Jesus’ name I come to you
To share his pow’r as he told me to.

He said ‘Freely, freely you have received;, freely, freely give.
Go in my name, and because you believe others will know that I live.

God gives us life in Jesus’ name
he lives in us in Jesus’ name
And in Jesus’ name I come to you
To share his peace as he told me to.
