THE STORY OF JESUS: Romans 8:12-17
“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” (Romans 8:16)
I have never actually heard an audible spiritual voice.
Some people talk about hearing God as if it was a clear voice – not me.
But I do hear the Voice of Jesus all the time, with my heart, in my spirit.
And what’s more, I converse with this Voice, the Spirit of Jesus.
Maybe this qualifies me as mentally unstable to some, but its very real to me.
And good… it is very good.
This Voice – the Spirit of Jesus – encourages me, inspires me, warns me, challenges me.
This Voice draws me upward to God, not in fear but in blessed peace, to me Abba Father.
This Voice constantly pulls me towards the character of Jesus, to love, joy, peace.
I know other people hear voices that lead them otherwise, BUT THOSE ARE NOT JESUS’ VOICE.
The Voice of Jesus will lead us in a life consistent with Jesus, in a God-like way.
If only our whole world heard His Voice, and sensed an obligation to it.
Actually, I believe they do hear it, but somehow they miss or ignore it.
Call me crazy, call me delusional, but at least give credit where credit is due.
This Voice is good, because it constantly prompts me towards what is best.
I wish you were as crazy as me, and could hear THIS Voice… His Voice.
What a blessing to hear His soothing whisper, ‘its OK, You’re mine, and I’m yours, it’ll all be OK!’

Lord, thank You for constantly whispering in my soul and assuring me of Your love, Your joy, Your peace. Keep on shaping me to be like You, just like ‘Dad!’
