Seated on the clouds was one like the son of man. The author does not say that this was Jesus but we do see that this angel does exercise judgement upon the earth as does the next angel. A loud voice from the heavens told the angel to reap the harvest. The next angel was also told to reap and the devastation was very great.
The harvesting or judgement has come as God had promised, God’s Word is true.
I must live this day in Him who gives me life. Every day is the Lord’s day. Each day is a gift to serve Him. As in the harvest in the OT, the first fruits and the best were given to the Lord, so too, that must be my goal – to give my best in Kingdom service. It is through His blood I can do all things.
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.
