Reflecting on John 21:
“‘I’m going out to fish,’ Simon Peter told them, and they said, ‘We’ll go with you.'” (John 21:3)
What would you do after you just met someone who died and came back to life?
I am imagining that they were in shock, experiencing both fear and joy.
No doubt they wanted to be with Jesus, but He was not there.
So what would you do in that moment in that state of shock and wonder?
These disciples did what was most natural and ordinary to them – they went fishing.
There is nothing super-spiritual about this, it was how they managed their emotions.
But in this ordinary, natural and habitual action, Jesus showed up.
I know someone who handles times like this by cleaning or cutting the grass.
Personally for me I go walking, or I spent time journalling.
In these moments, the most natural, ordinary activity becomes Jesus moments.
Jesus meets us in our ordinary, everyday lives.
We may not realize it is Him at first, but at some point we may catch on.
For the disciples it was a sense of dejavu; a miraculous catch of fish.
Jesus is alive, and though we may always see Him, He is with us.
Pay attention in your ordinary, everyday moments… you just may sense Him there.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, when I am walking, I sense I am not walking alone. Your Spirit speaks to me, calms me and assures me that 'it is well'. Help me to see You in times of stress or confusion. Help me to pay attention, and to look for You.

Where did I see Jesus throughout the day I need to ask myself more often. i am living in His presence but I too need to answer the question. all too often I take His presence for granted. Help me daily Lordto see You and hear Your voice saying, this is the way. Walk in it.
