THE STORY OF JESUS: Acts 2:42-47
“With glad and sincere hearts!” (Acts 2:46)
These people did not start a ‘church’, it was a community on fire!
They were bonded together by faith, hope and love, and it was contagious.
Do you know of any gatherings of Jesus followers that reflect this fire?
Assuming that your faith community does not reflect this, why not?
Is it the leadership, or denominational doctrines or traditions?
Is it something in the worship, or in the commitment to Jesus?
Is the Spirit missing, is the faith genuine?
How about you, do you feel the ‘energy’ of Acts 2:42-47 in you?
It is easier to point the finger at others, but how about you?
As a Jesus follower, my spirit needs to be engaged by Jesus’s Spirit.
Not only do I need to have the Spirit, the Spirit needs to have me.
Do I WANT to be Jesus’s disciple (Luke 9:23) with glad and sincere heart?
To pray for a revival, maybe I need to start with me.
Maybe a spark in my heart will ignite my faith community too!
