Shaped by Satan’s lies

Posted on August 4, 2018August 3, 2018 by Norm

THE STORY OF JESUS: Ezekiel 28-30
“You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you.” (Ezekiel 28:14)
Ezekiel describes the king of Tyre as an incarnation of Satan.
(The same as the king of Babylon in Isaiah 14:12-15).
Over time, we tend to become like that which we love and serve.
Most people I know do not love Satan, but many do love his ways.
Looking out for #1, using others for personal advantage.
Twisting the truth to serve our needs, using words to hurt others.
Satan does not show up with pitchfork and horns; he’s smarter than that.
He whispers distracting and discouraging thoughts into our minds.
He lures us subtly, gently towards the dark side before we realize it.
Satan has led many – including christians – to misery and defeat.
Only Jesus was able to beat him, only Jesus can help us beat him.
The more we focus on Jesus, the more we become like Him.
Very few people choose Satan, yet many give in to him.
Many people choose Jesus, but do they give in to Him?
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, I want to become more like You. I want people to sense Your grace, Your kindness, Your love, through me. Help me to give in to You, and not Satan.

    The Word of the Lord – do I listen to that voice?
    Our world belongs to God and I need to live in His service.
    Choices.
    Choose whom you will serve
    but as for me and my household, we will serve the living God.
    Open ears to hear His word me each day – tuned in to the Lord’s Way.

    1
    I serve a risen Savior
    He’s in the world today.
    I know that He is living,
    Whatever men may say.
    I see His hand of mercy;
    I hear His voice of cheer;
    And just the time I need Him
    He’s always near.
    He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
    He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
    He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
    You ask me how I know He lives?
    He lives within my heart.
    2
    In all the world around me
    I see His loving care,
    And though my heart grows weary,
    I never will despair;
    I know that He is leading,
    Through all the stormy blast;
    The day of His appearing
    Will come at last.
    3
    Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
    Lift up your voice and sing
    Eternal hallelujahs
    To Jesus Christ the King!
    The Hope of all who seek Him,
    The Help of all who find,
    None other is so loving,
    So good and kind.

think about it!

There is no limit to what God can do through us if we are His yielded and purified people, worshiping and showing forth His glory and His faithfulness.
