THE STORY OF JESUS: Luke 24:50-53
“While he was blessing them, he left them.” (Luke 24:51)
Jesus leaves them, but He leaves them with His blessing.
Imprinted on their hearts and minds is this picture of Jesus.
Hands raised in blessing, smiling and strengthening them.
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24?-?26)
This blessing would never leave them.
And even though He leaves them, He promises to be with them.
“I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)
Do you sense the risen, reigning Lord with you right now?
Do you see in your mind His smiling face, His hands lifted in blessing?
Living each day WITH Jesus is the heart of living in Christ.
The Spirit of Jesus is real, and is really in us, connecting us to Jesus.
That Spirit will give us love, joy, peace , etc. as well… are you feeling it?
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, I cannot live this life without You. Though I wish I could see You, thank You for those moments when I feel You with me. May the blessing of those moments linger long after they leave.
