THE STORY OF JESUS: Luke 15:8-10
“Doesn’t she… search carefully until she finds it?” (Luke 15:8)
There are billions of people in the world, and many don’t know Him.
Is God just waiting for people to come to Him?
Do you have a loved one that is not seeking God?
Does God refuse to do anything for them until they make the first move?
The whole story of the bible is of a God that is seeking us!
“The Lord God called to the man, ‘Where are you?’” (Genesis 3:9)
Ultimately God steps into our sin-messed world to find and save us.
He knows we are sinners, He knows the mess we’ve made of our lives.
He has not stopped pursuing us, and will not while life still lasts.
How God seeks is different for each person, but it is always enough.
Through their relationships, experiences, thoughts, crises, God is there.
He continues to whisper that question in love, ‘where are you?’
For our part, we can start looking, paying attention to our daily experiences.
Was that call, that near miss, that random thought, etc. God calling me?
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, You still seek me. You are still working in my life to strengthen my closeness to You. Help me to trust that You are doing the same for others, including this I know who are drifting from You!
