THE STORY OF JESUS: Luke 13:10-17
“Should not this woman whom Satan has kept bound be set free?” (Luke 13:16)
God’s mission is to restore His creation and His family into His rest.
To set us free from Satan’s lies, and give us the life He created us for.
The OT Law was put in place to prepare us for the Messiah, and His rescue!
Set free from sin, from evil, from suffering, from immorality.
We’re all targeted by Satan somehow, he uses something to hold us back.
What is holding you back from experiencing LIFE as God desires it to be?
Is it greed, pride, or lust, is it love of money or pleasure or stuff?
This is God’s concern for us, not that we follow religious practices.
God wants to give us rest, not just obey a law about rest.
Too often God’s people get sidetracked by religion.
We fight over how to do church, or worship, or church order.
Meanwhile we ignore God’s mission, and Satan is free to torment the masses.
As Jesus followers, we are free from religion to pursue God’s mission.
We are free to live in His grace, called to help others find that grace!

PRAYER
Lord, forgive us for fighting over religion while Satan ruins peoples lives. Set us free in Your grace, to become Your missionaries for grace!
