We see Jesus!

Posted on August 14, 2016August 15, 2016 by Norm

THE STORY OF JESUS: Psalm 8
“You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet.” (Psalm 8:6)
Either this is God’s greatest gift, or His biggest mistake.
To put humans in charge of this world, look at the mess we’ve made of it!?
The kingdom of God is not just that God rules the world… He certainly d0es.
Its how God made us rulers of the world, His God-like children ruling for Him.
Unfortunately things have not turned out so well, but that is the risk He took.
And when we failed, He steps in through Jesus, to make things right again.
“Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them. But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.” (Hebrews 2:8-9)
Though for the present this world still experiences sinful rebellion, we see Jesus!
Jesus defeated the devil, refused sin, endured death and overcame it… for everyone!
He has reclaimed the rightful title of Ruler of all creation (Matthew 28:18-20).
As a God-like human, everything is once again under His feet, under His authority.
This is God’s greatest gift, and reason for us to rejoice too.
The world is still messed up, but God has restored Adam’s line, and things are changing for the better.
Above the gory we see the glory; we see Jesus and therefore we have hope!
Like Stephen, facing persecution and death, we look up and say… “Look, I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” (Acts 7:56)
No matter how bad things look, we look up to see Jesus and declare with faith, hope and love…
“Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” (Psalm 8:1,9)
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for stepping in and taking control from us… for us. No matter how bad things look or get, You are leading things where they need to go to fully restore us, and the world!

    Give God the glory.
Man was made to be a ‘gardener’ in this His garden
    but
    he fell
and yet his task stays the same.
We are still gardeners taking care of Hid ‘garden’ through the power of our risen Saviour, restoring what we messed up. But this is only a possibility through our risen Saviour and His work in us and through us. I need to see Jesus in all I do and say because this world is His world – our world belongs to God and I need to see Him – the Creator at work, upholding what He created and I – I joyfully at work in His creation experiencing His prsence in all that I do. Walking with my Risen Saviour also this day and seeing Him everywhere.

    All around (all around)
up and down (up and down)
Here and there (here and there)
God is everywhere (God is everywhere)
In and out (in and out)
    all about (all about)
God is near (God is near)
God is here (God is here)

think about it!

There are those who seek knowledge for the sake of knowledge; That is curiosity. There are those who seek knowledge to be known by others; That is vanity. There are those who seek knowledge in order to serve; That is love.
