Reconnected to God!

THE STORY OF JESUS: John 14:5-7
“If you really know me, you will know my Father as well.” (John 14:7)
Sin disconnects us from God.
This makes sense, since we also experience how bad behavior ruins relationships.
When someone really hurts us, we normally break off our connection with them.
Unless we really love them (like a child), and refuse to let go.
God refuses to let go, and since we won’t come to Him, He comes to us.
Jesus is God coming to us, meeting us where we are, to bring us back.
Jesus not only shows us what God is like, He also shows us what life can be like with God.
His presence, His patience, His assistance, His guidance, His power, His blessing – with us.
If we want fellowship with God, we need to come by way of Jesus – the only true way to life.
Imagine what life could be like, in perfect harmony with God, each other and the world.
In Jesus we see God our loving Father, Who does not give up on us, beckoning us home.
When we hear Jesus say ‘come to me, I will give you rest’, we hear God.
God reduces Himself to human form, so we can walk and talk with Him (Genesis 3:8).
He is still God, but the fullness of God in bodily form (Colossians 1:19,2:9)
This is not just abstract theology, but a beautiful picture of love.
In Jesus, God shows us He wants a relationship with us, person to person, heart to heart.
There is no greater life than life lived WITH God, connected to Him in love.
This is where Jesus is taking us, the only true way to LIFE as it was meant to be!
What do you sense the Lord saying to you?
PRAYER
Lord, I know You a little, I want to know You more. Through You I see God, and I like what I see. Draw me close to You, and that I may walk and talk with God!

think about it!

Prayer is so simple. It is like quietly opening a door and slipping into the very presence of God. There, in the stillness, to listen to His voice, perhaps in petition or only to listen. It matters not. Just to be there in His presence is prayer.
